Pokerreglement
Pokahnights applies the FIDPA International Poker Rules.
Players are entitled to read a copy of the FIDPA Rules at any time during Pokahnights events. A copy will be available at the desk and on the website.
Below the list of exceptions, where Pokahnights applies rules in a different way than stipulated by FIDPA or replaces them by some House Rules:
  • RULE 10 OFFICIAL LANGUAGE
    Official languages are English, Dutch and French
  • RULE 11 COMMUNICATION DEVICES
    Official languages are English, Dutch and French
    • Players may not talk on the phone while on or at the poker table. A player talking on the phone on or at the table may receive a penalty.
    • Players may not use communication devices (text-message, make calls, etc...) while they have a live hand with action pending: the Floor person/TD may declare their hand a "dead hand". When a player is all-in and tries to use communication devices, the hand will not be declared a dead hand but the player may receive a penalty.
    • Players may not use laptops or tablets on or at the table. The Floor person/TD can add any device to this list as they wish, as long as it is clearly communicated at the start or during the tournament.
  • RULE 12 ELECTRONIC DEVICES
    Mobile phones are allowed as music playing device, as long as they are clearly not used as a communication device.
  • RULE 13 VALID IDENTIFICATION
    Players must be registered members on the Pokahnights.com website.
  • RULE 21 SEAT CARDS
    • When a player is eliminated, the player is responsible to immediately return his seat card to a Floor person. If no Floor person is available, the player must return his card to the TD at the desk.
    • A player purposely withholding his seat card, will be given a penalty (see Pokahnights warnings and penalties below). The TD is responsible to bust such a player in the correct finishing position, if this can be determined.
  • RULE 26 CARDS
    A tournament table will have 1 deck of cards available at all times.
  • RULE 37 COLOR UP
    Any remaining 'odd chip(s)' will be subject to rounding off. If cumulative value of the odd chip(s) is < 50% of new smallest chip in play, the player loses the chip(s) and will be taken out of play. If value is equal or greater than 50% of new smallest chip in play, player will get 1 of the lowest denomination chips and odd chips are taken out of play.
  • RULE 38 CHIP RACE
    Any remaining 'odd chip(s)' will be subject to rounding off. If cumulative value of the odd chip(s) is < 50% of new smallest chip in play, the player loses the chip(s) and will be taken out of play. If value is equal or greater than 50% of new smallest chip in play, player will get 1 of the lowest denomination chips and odd chips are taken out of play.
Extra Pokahnights house rules
Players MAY receive additional Pokahnights warnings and penalties in the form of:
  • Verbal warnings and/or missed hand penalties may be issued in case of:
    Discrimination, racism, verbal aggression against players, Floor persons or Pokahnights Crew, improper conduct.
  • Disqualification may be issued in case of:
    Repeated infractions as stipulated in the paragraph of warnings.
    Every possible form of cheating (including soft play, collusion and chip dumping).
  • Disqualification from the tournament, and removal from the Pokahroom may be issued in case of:
    Violence against players, spectators, Floor persons, TD or Pokahnights crew, use of illegal substances, damaging or destroying properties in the Pokahroom.
  • Judged on the seriousness of the infraction, Pokahnights reserves the right to add one or multiple of the below sanctions:
    Exclusion from participation to Pokahnights club weekends.
    Reset of the players Pokahnights account, including loss of (all) achievements.
    Temporary or permanent exclusion from the Pokahroom.
    Exclusion from all Pokahnights events.
Players subjected to any penalty(ies), have the right to appeal and defend their case to the Pokahnights Board if they wish to do so. The Board's decision is final.
