3 basic principles for points
When assigning points for the Pokahnights Achievements used to determine a player's monthly score, we go by 3 basic principles: only points for event achievements, the status of an achievement determines the maximum and each month everyone competes with equal weapons.
Only for Event Achievements!
Pokah League points and the corresponding classes and advancement to Pokahchamp are only calculated based on Event Achievements. There are a lot of other collectable achievements but they do not impact points. This keeps it clear and uncluttered for everyone.
Status determines points!
The number of points you get for achieving Event Achievements depends on your Lifetime status. You can never gain more points for an achievement than your Lifetime status allows for that achievement. This rewards players who put regularity in their play and consistently achieve good results.
A reset every month!
The number of ITM achievements in 1 month determines the maximum number of points you can get for an achievement. Per ITM that month, you can move up one step. This ensures that all players can play with equal weapons. The following month, the ITM counter is reset for all players.
The more ITM achievements you get in a month, the more points you can grab: your lifetime status of an achievement combined with your monthly number of ITMs determines the number of points you get for an achievement.
Status
Each achievement has a lifetime flow. The flow determines how many hits you need to get from a specific achievement before moving to the next status. There are 5 status levels: micro, low, mid, high & ultra.
Classes and Pokahchamp
The event achievements specifically also have a value in points, depending on their status. These points determine which class a player will play in and whether or not he or she can win a ticket to the Pokahchamp.
EXAMPLE 1 - NO ULTRA SCORE FOR RALF'S WIN
Ralf achieved 2 achievements this month, one ITM and a top 10. He has been a member of the club for more than 10 years and has won more than 20 live events, good for the lifetime Ultra status of the Win achievement as well as, of course, the ITM achievement. Yesterday he won another event where he racked up 36 points... Why?
It was Ralf's second ITM achievement this month. This means that he can score maximum points in the Low status of the achievements. Both his ITM and Win are at Ultra, but these points are not awarded because it is only his second ITM. So that's 12 points for the ITM and 24 for the Win, good for a total of 36 points.
EXAMPLE 2 - AGAIN NO ULTRA SCORE FOR ISABELLE'S WIN
Isabelle has already collected dozens of TOP 3 achievements at the club but just can't seem to pick up a Win. Also this month she was on a roll and played ITM 7 times already, unfortunately still without a Win... until yesterday where she cleared a thick field and got to take home her very first Pokahnights Win. Good for 43 points. Why?
Even though her ITM counter this month was at 7 already, normally good for Ultra scores, she got only 19 points for the Win. After all, it was her first Win ever, so her lifetime status for the Win is Micro, so she cannot get more points than the Micro points. For the ITM she did of course get the Ultra score, which is lifetime on Ultra ánd it was already her 8th ITM yesterday so GG and 24 points there, good for a total of 43 points.
